- I have a decent assortment of heavy storage bags from half gallon to 2 gallon
capacity. Some of these have zip-top sealing, and all of them can be permanently
sealed with any commercial heat sealer.
I use these in a variety of ways from water collection/carrying/purification to dry bags for gear in my pack. The two gallon bag is big enough to use as a dry bag for clothing and even many of the more compressible sleeping bags. These are also great for 'preppers' who are looking for heavy duty long-term food storage bags for rice, grain, beans, oats, sugar, etc. |

Mini Alcohol Stove - $6.99 - The ultimate on ultralight gear. These are hand made from soda cans using custom dies to press fit them together, and sanded smooth for a flat finish. I carry two of these in my pack along with a small bottle of 90% rubbing alcohol. That little bottle of fuel lasts me through about 4 days of camping. Unlike Coleman Fuel and gas powered stoves, you can find fuel for these in any pharmacy or supermarket.
Simply pour in a couple ounces of alcohol and light it up. Within a minute or so, all of the little holes along the top will begin to spout blue flame jets. Looks like a gas stove in use, and heats like crazy. Boils water in minutes. A unique piece of gear that will have you showing it off to friends!
